Happy, hot headed, will do anything for his friends.
Story: A known delinquent while in junior high school,
from where he met Honda, Jounouchi somehow cleaned up his act and got into high school. He was still a bit of a bully though,
picking on Yugi, however after Yugi took a beating for him and Honda, Jounouchi turned around and became Yugi's friend. In
fact, he's pretty much Yugi's best friend short of the Pharaoh and is very good in a fight. His parents divorced when he was
ten, his younger sister Shizuka taken by their mother to the country and Jounouchi remained with his father. A drunkard who
apparently can't keep a job, he is apparantly saddled with a heavy debt that Jounouchi works constantly to pay off as well
as to pay for daily living expenses and school fees. (Though Domino High School forbids students to work, Jounouchi is an
exception and has school permission to do so.)
